Taking Stock: September 2017

Taking Stock

19 Oct

This post contains affiliate links, which means the price of the item won’t change for you, but I receive a small commission of the sale. This helps keep my site up and running. Thanks!
Hello my friends!
Yes, I realize that it’s closer to the end of OCTOBER than the end of September, but my phone has been behaving like a crazy person and I was hoping to wait to post until I could get some photos on here, but at this point I just wanna get this out there and I can post photos at another time!
Sorry for the delay, but thanks for reading, friends!

Making: some big (and good!) changes to the back-end of my blog that I’m really excited
about!
Cooking: a lot lately, actually!  We’ve been getting HelloFresh once every few weeks (#notsponsored – that is an affiliate code thing, but they have absolutely no idea who I am or how bad I usually am at cooking – it’s just a code everyone gets!  But apparently it gives you $40 off your first box and me a $20 credit so HOLLAH to that!)
Drinking: I’m a woman of mystery……. just kidding, it’s clearly iced coffee.
Reading: Will It Fly? by Pat Flynn. Anyone else here an SPI fan??
Wanting: to have more time to work on my house!
Looking: at my flippin’ cute husband doing work on his computer. *Heart eyes for dayssssss*
Playing: a blogging Spotify playlist.
Wishing: my phone would stop restarting!!  It’s super rude, honestly.
Watching: Scrubs with Jess!  We finished Lie to Me this weekend and we were looking for another show to watch together.  I haven’t watched Scrubs since college, so I’m super excited to get back into it again!
Enjoying: My Praise Playlist on Spotify!  This has really been awesome to throw on when I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
Waiting: to finish up some menial tasks – sometimes the mundane stuff is the hardest, am I right?
Liking: this in my coffee cup, my warm sweater, and Andrew Peterson on Spotify.
Wondering: exactly how much work I can get done in one month!
Loving: the family sweatshirts we got just because. (Shoutout to Riley Lamb at Texas Star Embroidery for all of his help in making these numbers)
Hoping: that fall doesn’t go by too fast!
Marveling: at how blessed I really am.
Needing: nothing, really. <3
Smelling: Flaming Hot Cheetos (Christopher is eating them :-P)
Wearing: an over-sized turquoise tunic dress, my favorite leggings of all time, and the comfiest grey swing sweater. (Basically pajamas that I can wear to work 😉 )
Noticing: how much of a night owl I truly am. I’ve read countless articles about how you can change from a night owl to a morning person, but I just genuinely do not believe it’s possible for me. I think it’s a part of who I am and always have been!
Knowing: that it’s okay to be that way!  #NightOwlsUnite
Thinking: of corn mazes and pumpkin patches!

Feeling: Comfortable. Excited. Inspired.

What about you? How did your September go?
I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

Hi There, I’m Grady!

I'm a wife and stepmama obsessed with dresses, planners, and iced coffees bigger than my head.

I believe that having a happy, healthy stepfamily is not only possible but necessary for stepmom sanity, and I hope to provide a place of support for stepmoms who need to know someone else just
"gets it.”
